Description
“The Weekend” is an annual gathering of family and friends with a history of celebrating our unity and diversity in Jesus. Together, people from different generations, ethnicities, cultures and vocations will come together to learn about and encounter the person of Jesus through story, community, and worship. The Weekend is held at “The Canyon” at Washington Family Ranch, a remarkable Young Life camp in central Oregon. Click here to learn more about “The Canyon” at Washington Family Ranch!

Activities at “The Canyon” at Washington Family Ranch are top-notch. Amenities include bed linens and towels and all meals provided (Friday evening through Monday morning).

Scriptural and story-based teaching that will challenge and inspire you to greater heights. Our two primary speakers are Jamie Winship and Romanita Hairston.

Romainta believes in the power of purposeful collective action to address the causes of poverty, fight injustice and build a better world for children and families. Prior to coming to work for the Murdock Trust, Romanita led the U.S. Programs division at World Vision with a conviction that “we all give back by starting where we are, with what we have to achieve sustainable solutions to poverty here and around the world.”  She has dedicated her life, professionally and personally, to improving the well-being of children.

Jamie is a former police officer in the Metro Washington DC area. For the past 25 years he has lived in high conflict areas of the world teaching people how to hear from God and live in His Kingdom. He teaches through dynamic storytelling and real-life application in ways that allow people to experience the reality of hearing God’s voice so they can live fearlessly in their true identity every day!
